Cameron’s Haven
This is a respite cottage for UK & Ireland families, visit the website for more information and fill in an expression of interest form if you’d like to book in your family, you, you & your partner, whatever family combination you wish! This is a little bit of heaven on earth, very cathartic and healing. It’s right on the beach with stunning views and sunsets.

Throughout our year in hospital when Cameron was critically ill we would get home for a bit of a break inbetween treatments. As soon as we left the hospital it was not to our house we headed but to our little beach shack in Ferris Bay on Islandmagee.
This is Cameron's haven, this is what used to keep him going during the weeks of painful distressing treatments that made him so very sick and weak. It is over 120 years old and up until last year had an outside bathroom.
However there is still work to be done, so any willing volunteers handy with a paintbrush, handy with their hands or who have a trade and would willing to give up some of their time to make some children and their families very happy, please get in touch - you can stay while you work!
Because Cameron only does 10 hours per week at school, this is an extremely important place to him for respite, he adores down here, he can hide and is generally all round better here.
